ITER Project Deadline Extended

“The problem that the next council meeting will have to resolve is that some member states are further ahead than others in their assigned tasks for the assembly of ITER.” As with any multibillion dollar collaborative project, we can expect scheduling issues and communication gaps. But in my opinion, we proved with the ISS that international collaboration is key to bringing cutting-edge technology from different countries. We will hopefully see this with the James Webb telescope in 2018 as well. So plan well and keep it up! We’ll all be excited to see a large tokamak fusion reactor 🙂
